Bollywood (in Hindi: बॉलीवुड in Urdu: بالی وڈ) is the Hindi-language film industry, the largest Indian film industry in terms of profits and popularity nationally and internationally. The name Bollywood comes from the merger of Bombay (former name of Mumbai, city where this industry is concentrated), and Hollywood (name given to the American film industry).
